And don't tell me to stop sniffing magic-markers. I want to lower my timing. Now that it's getting hot out i seem to have too much marbling . I set the timing at 1.00mm when i put the modified pump [10 mm head governor and timing advance mods] on the 1.9 na in my vanagon last fall. Now i want to lower it a little and i know i can just touch it tad to change it to about .95-90 mm, but i don't remember which way to move it. Is it away from the motor to retard?
