aaz oil capacity?

Went to fill it up today and have no clue how much to put in. I would just go by the dipstick but it has a vanagon oil pan on it. So It wont do much good.

Put in either 4.5 liters or if you're in the states, 4.75 quarts

i have a strip of steel brazed onto the bottom of my stock dip stick with marks 1/4" apart starting at 17 3/16"





Since I decided to ditch my pwr steering I'm going to the licence plate hatch accessible dip stick/ oil filler tube. I'm so sick of clearing off my back hatch to check the oil. There are filler tubes that clear the pwr steering pump, I'm not sure if they have the built in d stick tho.

Sounds like you are close!!!!!
