Edit: could be little of topic...but.
I´ve reused several of my 1.9 headgaskets and I´m still running 30-35 psi of boost afterwards. And I must say it works great!
A experienced friend of mine which builds race engines told me to stop buying new expensive headgaskets when all he did (if the gasket wasn´t totally screwed up) was putting a thin layer of spraypaint on each side to fill in the small scratches etc.
I always use new headbolts each time when putting it all back together again.
Don´t hate on me for doing it before trying it out yourself. It works!
that's awesome! definitely trying that now i have studs!
i love mcmaster-carr. the website though, can be tough navigating it sometimes. so you use viton to plug up the head, huh? any pics?
you guys think viton is ever going to be less than 15 dollars a foot?

I tried Viton sheet to plug the extra oil drain hole. The durometer of the viton was too high so the head wouldn't seat fully. The best/cheap solution is to use a section of a brand new oil cap gasket. It allot softer, is oil/heat resistant, and readily available.
