but the good part, you can bolt a race prepped turbo 400 right to the engine. its already got a 700R4 bolted to it, bet it cruises nice down the freeway.

2.26 rear gear with a .70 5th i'm guessing about a 25 inch tall tire. 1471rpm @ 70mph! plus the 700 has a deep 3.06 first. The 700 would deal with 300-400 lb-ft in that light car ok but once the 4bt started makin good numbers she might rebel. You could sell the bump bumps out of the back lose weight and buy race parts for the 3.9!

you can make a stock T700R4 handle around 400 ft lbs if you have a good cooler and maintain it well. they are actually very robust transmissions once you fix the couple weak links in them. the stock ones do have a variable pressure valve body tho, and if the kick down cable comes off or is severely out of adjustment, they commit suicide. they make lots of aftermarket constant pressure valve bodies for them that fixes that problem.
