doing my vanagon conversion and need help with the mating of the plate to the transaxle. I enlarged it but im trying to figure out what needs to be grinded down. Also do I install it on the engine or the transaxle first. I would normally just refer to the book but the book is vague, And when I called they werent much help.

I used a Kennedy adapter to put a 1.6 TD into my old Porsche. I didn't have to grind anything ??

I had no instructions with mine (got it on ebay) but I bolted the adapter to the engine first, then bolted it to the tranny.

I think its specific for the Auto trans in the vanagon. Before I start grinding to much I just want to see if I have the right Idea.
