Which Thermostat do is best for a partially tuned 1.6TD (Giles Pump, stud kit, increased boost, 2.5 downpipe and exhast)

I use stock, 87c
I'd suggest a good brand, like wahler or behr
Unless you live somewhere really really hot or really really cold I'm with Myke... stock will work just fine.

I ordered a Timing belt kit from Prothes site, but I don't really trust it anymore, so i'll probaly keep it as an emergency spare...buying a SKF tensioner and has anyone heard of ContiTech timing belts? sounds like aftermarket to me...it would be best to go with OEM for this no?

So here's what I said-
No clue on the brand of t-stat you mentioned.. The two brands I mentioned, whaler and behr are the only German made ones I know of.
SKF tensioner is german made, good quality, best available
ContiTech timing belts are OEM suppliers for VW, German made, best available
