tried it in a TD 1.6 .... the turbo didn't like the thicker oil and didn't spool up as quickly....
Quote from: "mk2diesel"royal purple is a pretty amazing oil. it actually polishes metal surfaces. sticky lifters is a really bad problem with all hydraulic diesels... even using high quality oil mine sticks a bit... maybe i'll have to buy some royal purple if any Canadians are looking to get some royal purple here's a site. they also sell diesel purge http://www.precisiontuning.ca/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=43_47_52&products_id=94I have to admit the sticky lifter did not go away overnight... It took a 1600km day redlining it from Billings, Montana to Vancouver, BC to do the trick...i was racing for the ferry that night to nanaimo and was pulling the ole 'Italian Tune-up" nearly all the way there over the Rockies and Snoqualmie....although i didn't make the ferry due to the border, the car loved it and it speaks volumes for the Royal Purple...it continues to amaze me. The longer you use it, the more you will notice the benefits on your vehicle.
