1.9 aaz vibration damper.......new and improved?
« on: July 09, 2008, 08:05:12 pm »
Building a 1997 aaz 1.9 here, wanting to keep the cranksaft in the good shape that it's currently in.......

Since I do not yet have a crankshaft vibration damper with v belt pulley, I'm wondering if this application will work for an aaz http://www.busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=028105243T

Think I read in one of Vince's posts that it is a "new and improved" version of the oem vibration damper. Softer / more forgiving rubber compound or something like that........

Also looking to get the clutching alt pulley that helps prevent the dreaded crank-pully to crank nose damage. Anyone know if this alt pulley upgrade can be used on other alternators........like a GM 105 amp?

I'm pretty sure that's the one I have on my engine. No complaints here.
