Judging from that wire photo you posted, some one did some questionable wire work. So that may be a reason you didn't get a low oil warning. Looks like there is no wire going to the switch on the oil filter housing. I wonder if the one on the head is off too.
Put a jumper wire from the positive terminal on the battery to the stop solinoid on the pump. The car should start with a stuck turbo, unless the low oil event nuked the rings too.
How did you decide to stop and check your oil? Was the engine making any strange sounds?

may seem strange but the oil light and beep came on for a second and went off so stoped as soon as possible to top up , then carried on the rest of the journey , still had oil in when i checked it back home in the morning too. There was no strange noises from the engine but turbo did sound a bit noisy compared to the last one , but still pulled well all the way home and at idle everything sounded as usuall when i stoped at my house.
Im just wondering if the cold start and idle has been messed with at the garage because it was idling quite low when i picked it up, how do i change this on the new type aaz engine as its different than my older model which had a thin vertical screw thing

I'd get a second opinion. With all that oil blowing everywhere it may have been excessive crankcase pressure from a clogged hose which can force oil into the engine. Although having run it out of oil or low on oil several times a bad ring(s) is not out of the likely.

yeh suppose i could try a second opinion , never run it completly out of oil and only once had the light flash on at me too, ive always checked it before a journey because of the leak off the crank case breather bottom bit

they recon its breathing too much ie damage to a piston but surely that would mean it would run funny so im giving up , i havent got time to fix it

What a soap opera.
Car sold for £475.00.
Winning bidder was "brett123hol", who has only one E-Bay feedback, and it's as follows:
"A totally dishonest and disreputable person to do any business with. Be Warned !"
Instant karma's gonna get you...
