I have a 1995 Jetta 1.9 TD 5 sp. Pretty basic other than air con, cruise (no worky), and the tempermental power lock/alarm.

You mean the optical rmp sensor?


the kit doesnt come with an optical rpm sensor does it??? $$$ i would assume...

i've seen the round vacuum ball thing have cracks in the rubber... so the vacuum would be applied, but it wouldn't work.  this could be the case??? if so just use a rubber tire patch kit or something... either that or a vacuum leak from somewhere else.
