Nice smog!

@ MK2 GTD
The hanger on my backbox is *** I'm going to have to add another and change the rubbers! I'll have to trim the scuttle too. What mods have you done to your injection pump?

My injection pump..... most of the mods can be found on this web site we are on now, below is a link to some of the mods i have done...... was looking into getting a giles injection pump sent over to the UK , but it cost way too much and couldnt justify the expence.

I have just bought a low milage AAZ 1.9 tdi engine i am going to rebuild, i fix fire trucks for a living and work on Detroit Diesel / Caterpillar diesel engines in the fire trucks..  Hopefully get a decent cam in there, recon the head, with ceramic conbustion chambers and if possible sodium filled valves. The bottom end i am going to have the crank re-ground and balanced, fiT VW Transporter pistons as they are heavier duty, think there is a link somewhere on my pc, will try and find it later. The turbo will come off and the place we use for our trucks said they would " experiment" with it for me..... what ever that means...ha ha.

Got to admit, your car has been a bit of an inspiration for me, i have followed most of your posts in this site  :)

Love the car and the colour is great....... was tempted by big bumpers as i have a set in the garage but after looking at loadsw of vw golf sites thought the small bumpers looked retro.

Thanks! I've been slowly tweaking it since I bought it! I love the relaxed 75mph cruising daily, but now with a few mild tweaks I have extra poke for overtakes on the scottish A-roads! I'm going for a full rebuild/respray next year, but next time i'm going either Full 90 spec/G60 bodykit with new big bumpers front and rear OR fully de-arched and small bumpers along with an american spec front bumper (no plate mount) and a HUGE front mount intercooler. Either way its going to be VERY low on coilovers and 8x13 ATS Classics!

My mother in law's GTD... She's 82 on the 29 August!...
AFAIK the oldest GTD driver in the world :shock:

I turned down the power for the MOT and I didn't tell her :roll:

She couldn't do her fast junction exits and was going to give the car to me... :twisted: But I confessed :mrgreen:

Hey con,

Yeh, it didn't actually touch any flood water lol :D

I drove to town with some mates and went to the pub, afew hours passed and when we went to leave town all the exit routes were flooded so i had to park the car up and walk home :D through waist deep flood waters.

I really don't like 5 doors cars!

Might be a better idea to source a GTD engine and put the into a diff car, and sell my car complete?

I'll put the link to PVW, alot of pics in there;
