Having built one myself let me add my voice to the chorus of warnings you'll find in that post:
WARNING WARNING WARNING: you are dealing with extremely high pressures. Pressures that can maim, blind, and kill.
- use only high pressure hydraulic fittings throughout. If you're in the plumbing isle you're in the wrong place.
- wear safety equipment at all times... goggles and gloves. Diesel at that pressure can penetrate skin very easily, and often amputation is the only cure.
- at that pressure diesel is often a fine mist and highly flamable (duh!)... not a good place to be puffing on a stogie.
