I cut the restrictive gas muffler off in order to put a glasspack on, but ran it straight pipe for a day. It is literally the loudest vehicle I'd ever heard, everyone I drove by stared. Something about these NA engines makes them extremely loud compared to other engines.

All turbo's have a muffling effect, the spinning turbine cuts the exhaust notes to pieces.

I have driven k03's, k14's and k26's all with just the down pipe pointing straight down.. LOVE IT

I don't even have ANY sound deadening at all in the car right now.

23.5:1 compression ratio as compared to a normal 9:1 for a gas motor... ;) Makes for a loud combustion BANG.

Ugh me either.. My hood diaper got soaked years ago and had to go.

If you look closely in the pix you can see ear plugs all along the bottom of the instrument cluster.. A lot of engine noise

Yeah turbo's quiet it a lot, I'd run a straight pipe if I had a turbo. note to self: get started on that turbo...
