not a chance i would pay someone to do it.. being that it has an abnormal fill procedure..

fill till it comes out the fill hole, then add .5L more thru the speedo hole..

are you really that lazy?

Yup, i don't have the tool to get the plugs out.. and I'm not confident on my own filling procedure TBH. I know we've gone over this Kev, and where the fluid should sit on the speedo gear.. but i just dunno.. There is a really good trans place in town, and he even knew the tranny code of my gf's auto 3pd off the top of his head.. Me thinks he knows vw trannies.

took me 5 minutes to make a tool for the drain/fill plugs.

3 spd autos are easy.. gas came with one code, and the diesel came with the other code.. and those were the only ones offered. (late mk2 atleast)

if i can successfully change my trans fluid after 12 beers, and a pint of Jager, then i think you should be more than able to.. its really not rocket science, and only takes 10 bucks of oil.

x2 I just did mine, was not a problem.  the two plugs are I think 17 mm same size as the wheel bolts anyway.  You don't even need to make a tool, a wheel bolt and wrench will work.

not necessary, just turn it hard to the left. it creates more than enough room to access all the plugs. atleast on all my cars.

i took a bolt with a 17mm head, and welded a GM lug nut to the end of the threads. instant drain plug tool..

I tried to get the plug out last time I did the fluid.. I had a nut and bolt locked down on one another.. sheared the head off a haevy grade bolt..

THAT is the only reason i would pay someone else to do it LOL

They are in there tight.  but the wheel bolt is long enough that you can fit wrench on it, and still seat it all the way into the plug.
