hey guys my name is pete and im from London Ontario, Ive been playing with turbo setups for a while now on gas engines. I have always told myself i will do the original thing and build up a diesel. Well i finally did it and got a 97 jetta non tdi so no ecu. Im not sure if its a TD or an Eco-diesel but I will build it up regardles. I have a load of turbo parts laying around from past gas setups. Id like to use my car as a guinea pig to try out different combinations.
I was thinging of throwing on my mazda mx6 intercooler and getting my fuel delivery down. But to be honest im a newbie to diesel tuning
so lets talk:
Injection pump: I see there are some governors where the throttle rotor is, i believe there are 2: is it safe to ditch these or adjust them?
Injectors: I read somewhere that people use 5cyl van injectors. WIll this work if i do not have a tdi? if its a bolt on deal i will get these asap
intake? would i benefit from a tubeular intake with k&n?
Turbo: I have 2 turbos laying around, a tiny ko3 from a passat or jetta 1.8T IIRC. and a nissan 300zx t3, .60/.63 trim large and im unsure if i can spool this but i can fab up an adaptor plate if i can indeed use its power
