WTB: Mk4 adjustable IP sprocket/hub asm.

searching for complete MK4 adjustable IP pully/hub setup so that I can install a 20MM (shortshaft) IDI IP on my 1.6TD. Apparently this is the only practical option for my situation, I was not aware that the IP I bought was a "short shaft"
Cursed again!

you can also have the 1.6 pulley machined to fit the 20mm shaft

Thanks, yeah I am considering doing this, but re-creating that taper to fit at the right depth sounds tricky. I should bring a 17MM pump to the machine shop with the 2oMM so maybe it will be easier to match it up the depth?  The MK4 pulley set up still requires machining, but does not involve the taper, still has its own complications in that it has no key though, intial timing could be a pita.
Not sure what I'll do yet, just trying to avoid having a brand new Bosch paper weight!

Don't make it taper... have it make like the early AAZ pump... with a "pin"

I dont understand this statement. ALL VE pump shafts all tapered, so it would have to be a tapered hole. I've machined more than ten 1.6 pulleys this way, and cut new keyway slots accurately.

Interested in doing another one Svenson? Maybe you even have a good 1.6 pulley there already? name your price! (wishful thinking I know, worth a try though)
Thanks.
