Oh I am interested all right if I could get it to my door for $175-$200 total for the parts and shipping I be more than happy to buy MontanaGTD several Pints for his troubles :D

I contacted the seller of that IC setup though and he is quoting me the equivalent of $215 USD just for shipping.

Depends on how quick you want it! Got a few quotes from a few online couriers and you are looking at £170-£190 to get it within 3 days - but it can go snail post (by sea) takes about 2 weeks, but could be as cheap as £45.

I'll just need to buy it, parcel it up and get it weighted and put it up for sale! with shipping costs included!

Ziptar - you can have first dibs on it if you want??

well i would rather get a FMIC setup than that factory setup... how does enough air pass over the IC to cool it properly????  i would expect quite a bit of heat soak, unless you modded the hood of your car with a scoop of some sort... or put a fan to assist airflow over the IC...  but i guess any IC is better than none.

i am currently looking into hooking up a water intercooled system. theres an XS charge cooler going for around 120 + 20 for shipping... will cost around $200 when its all said and done.  the water pump will probably cost me another 100, and the front mount exchanger will cost another 80 at least...  it's not going to be cheap, but i know for a fact that it will perform 300% better than the stock GTD intercooler.

This guy put a scoop on the bonnet to allow air through, looks kinda cool.

Well.. we didn't win that one.... but there will be more...    Thanks for trying for me MontanaGTD!!

Something that dawned on me when looking at that auction for the first time after staring at many pictures of Intercooled A2 TD engine compartments.

The elbow on the intake manaifold of the intercooled cars goes to the right (drivers side LHD, passeners RHD) when looking at the engine compartment straight on. The non-IC cars and TDIs go to the left. See engine with intercooler pic, area circled in yellow to get exactly what I mean if that didn't make sense:

I had planned on getting an AAZ intake manifold as part of my TDI-M Swap, I would imagine that if the AAZ was not intercooled then the elbow would curve to the left. Where there AAZ Intercooled cars and, so AAZ D-port intakes with the elbow going to the right exist? Did the 1.6TD IC cars only get such a manifold? If AAZ ones are non existant, I could just get a Non-intercooled AAZ intake and take to to a welding shop. I could have the elbow cut off turned roughly 180 degrees and re-welded easily enough I imagine.

Getting a manifold that doesn't need that would be nice though.
