Throttle's a little sticky

I noticed that the throttle on my car is sticking a little. Should I be replacing the throttle cable or can I just lube something up.

When is it sticking?   Is the cable binding at the firewall?  Mine got held up by some carpet / insulation there.   It's also possible that the cable is being obstructed by something in the engine bay... vac lines, etc.

your best bet may be a graphite lube.  other lubes can attract dirt and then its just contaminated again...
