Are 1.5 non a/c brackets and 1.6 the same?

Anyone know if the 1.5 brackets will work on a 1.6 block ?

 No.
 The problem is the upper timing belt cover support bolt is in a different location.
 It also won't bolt to the injection pump bracket because of different placement of the holes,..
 but you might be able to drill and tap a new hole in the injection pump bracket to match it.
 The stamped steel 1.5 bracket is also known to crack near the adjuster support.
