WTB: Crank Pulley from an MK3
« on: March 20, 2006, 02:06:48 pm »
Title pretty much says it all... needs to be from an MK3 an all I need is the serpentine belt pulley, not the timing gear.

Will need a picture before the sale as well to make sure it is correct, and shipping is to the US..... put up what you have and a price

So you basically need the harmonic balancer ?

I would never use a second hand one, especially with all the crank problems they have had, unless it is the updated part.Even new,the updated balancer is not that expensive.$160 CDN or so new.I have used updated ones too.

Ok, I have read some places that the later 96-99 TDI is interchangible with the earlier TD, do you know if that is correct.

I am after it for a hybrid engine that I am piecing together, I need the offset to be the same as the early style pulley, that I know for sure.  Overall diameter is not an issue.

Yes,the updated balancer is the same one used on the early TDI motors (AHU).
