time for a quick update before bed. New axle fabricated, and rear disc setup marinating in vinegar at the moment (MK3 GTi stubs, carriers and discs, MK4 callipers)
Pretty happy wit the welding, went better on the second side

Got the Berg Cup arches mounted on the wings as of yesterday, very happy with the result, not looking forward to blending in the rivet heads though...
'

oh and discovered my Vitara wheels wouldn't fit :( 3" of poke nearly, so picked up a set of ATS Cookie Cutters today for £120, good stuff. will get them mocked up tomorrow, and pics

Thats about it for now, done a few other bits, pained trailing arms, mis-placed the bushes, pained the engine bay, did a crap job so sanding down again...

not a lot to add since last time, arches mostly blended in now, and started on the rears, with a big of surgery...

Fronts mostly done now

engine bay had inevitable more sanding and more filler and primer  :P

And rear suspension being worked on, need to ask work if they'll laser cut it for me

Also did a bit of work on the turbo, looking a bit better now :) (GT2052v)

yeah pretty bummed about that as the ATS Cookie Cutters are pretty boring, and have seen them done quite a bit already. The search continues i guess...
Something new it is indeed!  ;D
Got a few ore goodies recently

and drilled and grooved 280mm front and 220mm rear discs

few parts from the air ride progressing

Chassis mods for driveshaft clearance

rear callipers cleaned up

the fuel pump, anyone have a diagram or some information on it? 300tdi pump, want to give it a gov mod, and a re-paint on the outside

Time for another bit of an update i think
Air ride on the front is done, being anodised at the moment. just looking for a compressor and solenoids now

Got my sill welded on at last which was a horrible job to do. never again. Just put the last GRP arch on earlier, and mocking up my somewhat different front end:

some new wheels

got a free 9" servo and 22mm MC too.
That's about it for now
