WTB mk2 big bumper brackets
« on: January 13, 2011, 04:00:02 pm »
I got a aftermarket bumper for my jetta  it is missing the parts that holds the bumper to the fender.  My car is factory small bumper and looks like small bumper hardware is different.   If anybody has or knows what I needs to put the new bumper on please pm me.

Check the vortex.
Lots of big bumper cars being parted and that's not a diesel specific item.

If you mean the inside plastic clips on the side, under the banana lights,
those are impossible to find.
Mostly because they are installed with some kind of melting plastic rivet, so not considered a serviceable part (but a bumper ass'y)... They can be easily removed and re-installed though, should you find some.
Drill the plastic rivets out, and re-install with screws. You'll be fine.
Check the Vortex,
and always be on the lookout for busted fenders / bumpers to snipe the clips.

I happen to have ordered a spare set. I can buy them through the dealership here for just under 10 bucks a pop taxes in per clip.
