Im having a "reasonable" price discussion on the Vortex. I hate that crap. JUST SAY WHAT YOU WANT FOR IT!! I dont read minds. The other party obviously has a price in mind but insists I play this lame guessing game. You tell me to offer a price...Im going to come in low...obviously.

Does anyone go to a car dealer and have to GUESS on the price of a car? NO..the dealer has a sticker price..you negotiate from there. If the customer starts offering a price..its going to be somewhere around $10...then they can deal to get it closer to the dealer price.

Man..this annoys me. Im not putting anyone's kids through college to get one of these.'

I think I've got two of them but I'll have to check to be sure. $15 each takes em if that's what's in both of my 85 jettas. You can even have the steering wheel if ya want.
I'd even donate one if you're gonna make replicas.

I would like to see the finished product but this is very interesting indeed.

Are the "turbo diesel" accessories really that desirable. I had a turbo diesel Jetta badge (from the rear of the car) and I threw it away because it had scratches. Did I do a bad, bad thing?

Yeah, I hate it when people don't post a price. Put it on ebay if you want to play the auction game.

Holy crap...you are even the most local guy to me on this board.

If this is the turbo diesel one..you have a sale.

MOST did not come with them as far as I know.

Ill make gobs of copies if I can get a decent product.

Im also going to make a copy of this (the Mk2 version) if I can figure out how to add the chroming.

Ive already worked out how to do emblems. Its the chroming that is an issue. Id also like to make the GTD either red...or Green. Id say make GT red and the D green..but then Id get too many Santa Claus jokes.

Hell..I have them from Mk1s..and Ive never owned a Mk1. I just see em..and get them.

The Jetta GTD badge I have was won on Ebay.de  Im glad the guy shipped. I think I paid $65 to get it here. (Its not on the car any more..its inside..under my guns)

The newer ones are available from TMTuning..and they ship from PA. So it takes about a week.

This is the guy I was PM'ing.

Hes out of his damn mind. I dont care how "rare" or "mint" it is. $160 is too much. $110 for the grill badge is too much.

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4837644

If I can make copies Ill sell them for $30 till I pay for my original then $20 after that.
