The studs can only stick up less than 3/4" or you will have a hard time getting low enough to clear the raintray,... at least on a Rabbit.
I still think it will take 2 people to set it down nice with all the manifolds and turbo on.

You have even less clearance on a mk2 if I'm remembering properly. I remember hitting the LDA when I was trying to put the head on by myself with the turbo and everything attached. You definitely need two people
