I couldn't stop myself.

I don't think I ever saw a mailing list.  Signed up here when it was a website forum.
Still, 15 years ago is not that long ago.

Sanding down the pickup tomorrow and looking to dump some surfacer on it come Wednesday.  Taking time off from work to take advantage of the sunny and warm days.

there was also the old and new website, this being the new one. which is all i've ever known.

i think i've complained here a few times about facebook killing forums. they have all of the traffic but a terrible platform for sharing information or tracking a build. I miss the forum days which is why i post all the updates to my rabbit in my old build thread.

I never really liked tdi club because it always seemed like very much a hive minded type of place. Like andy mentioned there are just less of these cars on the road now too so a lot less interest in both of these old forums.

I always heard TDI club was full of arrogant harsh users.
But that must have been before I got there.
I've probably been on there for 4 years or so and in most cases folks have been very friendly and informative.

I think utube helps kill forums too.
Much easier to watch a video of how to fix something than to read instructions.
Even though much of the info on the videos might have originated on a forum like this.
