Spied a nice set of front seats in a B3 Passat at the junkyard this morning. Will they bolt right in to a Mk2 Jetta?

Cut and weld the brackets. It isn't that hard. Passat seats aren't that great though. Get some recaros and never regret it and if you do regret it you can usually sell them for as much or more than you paid.

It is if you dont have a welder.
Are there any VAG seats or others that can be bolted straight in?

mk1, mk2.. rocco, roddo..
making passat more nnarrow... those heafty seats.. 2x3 times weight.. dont skimp on welding them... but imo 90-93 b3 seats are one of the best in adj, foam and material life... the last of the b3 went to a "printed fabric" like mk3 got and went to crap...
i modded my recaro to fit my b3... i just made a new base for it... fyi.. you gotta reverse them drivers side to pass too else adj nobs are problematic too..

Come on Balz I thought you read everything. Get over to vortex. Read the FAQ for MKII's. They have a complete list of seats from other cars that fit. They also have a couple different ways of modding MKIII or Passat seats to fit. Two of the three ways don't involve a welder. Passat seats are flat as hell though. Scirocco seats are the best. I have some black leather ones and I love them so much.

If you're looking for comfort, go for it! B3 seats are some of the most comfortable that VW ever made.
