swapping an AHU in to an Mk1, I have seen guys do the vr6 waterpump pulley on 2.0L and the such to delete the A/C compressor and power steering when doing mk1 swaps..

I am fairly certain that the vr6 pulley will also work on the TDI engine to get the waterpump on the serp belt..

any confirmation on this? got a guy selling one cheap! I need to kno! lol

Yup, it works on the TDI, I've used it on many engines. Pulley # 028 121 031 E, belt # 037 903 137 H.

Heh, I just checked my ETKA (which i am still learning to use) and it shows the same pulley fitting every engine in the catalog, from the 50hp CK diesel engine, to the 450hp BRP Phaeton engine. WOW!

I did it on my 1z cabriolet and coincidently also deleted the a/c and ps at the same time and it works great! I got the correct belt from fap99 dot com. he actually had a listing for one without a/c and it fit great!
