Title: Where to buy solid-lifter valve shims?
Post by: jbg on August 08, 2007, 01:00:57 pm
I'm tried searching here and Google, but I cannot find an answer. Where can I buy a kit of these shims? Is there a part number I should know? I want to check the clearances on my D24T and I assume I'll need a few shims.

Thanks, Jim.

Go tho the JY, and pop the cams out of a few VWs.  Throw all the spacers in the bottom of your toolbox.  If there's still one you need, your local VW shop will have it.  pooling shim resources with locals also helps.

I'd pay that for 120 shims in various sizes. Now if I could find a similar set of shims for nozzles...
Title: Thanks

Thanks for all who replied. I'll poke around in the local yards and see what I can find. That is once my shim pliers come in from eBay.
