if i can get the all metal HG on the solid lifter head i'll upgrade to headstuds, and finally run in the mid 30psi range instead of the mid 20psi range :)
added reliability and extra 10psi i thnk is a fair trade for a set of $150~ head studs and headgasket, so long as it doesnt cost an arm and a leg to get this gasket in there...

Head studs are always a good idea. Remove your head once after intalling them and your $ ahead of the streach bolt schiza.
I think Tintin runs a metal head gasket on a mech block with a hunk of rubber sheet in the extra oil drain hole.

not to mention that it helps align keep the HG aligned so it doesn't move while you put the head on.
