GTD or Mercedes injectors. Get merc injectors or nozzles, late 300TD. They are the same as the VW ones with more flow.

Thanx a lot guys, this is just what I was looking for and couldn't seem to find. I like the idea of the merc injectors.

I checked out the link in relation to extude honing. Looks very interesting.

So you can drop in Late 300TD Injectors with no modifications, and get more flow?

This sounds like a must.

i've heard differing opinions on running merc injectors.  Some saying you can get the same flow out of new stock 1.6 or 1.9 injectors.  Some saying the merc injectors physically flow more.  Its still up in the air for me.  I have found a site that sell them though.

Well the reason I ask is the part #''s for the tips are listed for each injector on that site.

If you knew which one it was for sure getting the tips installed on your injector bodies would be cake and pretty much any injection shop should be able to get the tips.

Part #  0-434-250-128   looks like the ones to me but..??

I'm running Smog's nozzles:

With a modified pump( ) the results are very impressive.

I've seen pro-265 anti-261 conversations and the complete opposite !!  Go with what you have and move on to other areas for improvements... the nozzle is only a small piece of the puzzle.

Plus, 60-70K miles from now you can try something different !!

Some of these numbers change just due to updates.  Might be the same nozzle.

I know a guy that put Cat injectors on his newer tdi, says he dyno's at over 400 lb of torque.  I have see the car (automatic) go.  He steps on the pedal, waits about 1.2 second for the boost, then the tires go uncontrollably up in smoke!  I can't verify the dyno numbers, he does some racing development for General Mess though.

Yes, the '0' is  the spray angle. You really want to stay with a nozzle that has the same spray angle or you're probably going to end up with atomization issues.

More on injectors from the Bosch injection pump book:
"abbreviated a bit...
1.Throttling pintle nozzles is used on swirl/prechamber/turbulance engines.
2.Injection is coaxial shaped jet of fuel
3.INjector Nozzle type (DN...SD) together with nossle holder type KCA with screw in thread.
4.normal version has M24X2 thread and an A/F dimension of 27mm.
5.injection nozzles have a needle Diameter of 6mm and spray angle of 0 degrees.
6.it is rarer to find defined 12 degree spray angle (in the DN 12 SD) for
7. for restricted cylinder head space more compact nozzle holder versions (e.g., KCE) are avaiable
8. The hole nozzles have needle Diams of 4 and 6mm (for DI engines)
9. the seat/hole nozzle is only available in size "P" version
10. opening pressure of holder and nozzle assembly (IDI) is approx 110-140 bar"
That is all I have found in the bosch book on VE pumps...
hope it helps some.

I went with nozzles from a 80's diesel gmc with good results on a non modified motor. the nozzles were lots cheaper than vw or merc ones too, like ten bucks each.

they will flow way better too, so with a modified pump they should do even better
