Title: exhaust colour change?

guys, i was on the motorway and decided to boot it for once and did 100mph for approx 20mins even though it took a bit of time to get there. onc i got home and parked the car i noticed that the exhaust pipes were like an orangy/light browny colour instead of the normal sooty black. any reason for this?
