wonder if you could substitute oil squirters for ceramic coated pistons and still be safe... pistons should stay much cooler, obviously both would be best but if you didnt have squirters.... i guess that would be the next best thing right?

I would love to see the differance in oil temps before and after coated pistons. I think if you were still moderate with fueling ceramic coating would be a big help.

Keeping engine oil temps are key. Installing a real oil/air cooler is best bang for the buck. Keeping the intake charge cool by use of an intercooler is also helpful.

I would like to eliminate the oil from getting that hot to begin with. Keeping the heat(energy) in the combustion chamber and on to the turbine if so equipped would be much more efficent. If you have to cool off the oil your wasting energy.

I drive now an NA turbo-ed  engine, because I miss shifted my other engine, and over revved it to 8800RPM, what killed it ofcourse...

So i have put al the GTD parts on an NA solid lifter engine I had laying around.

1.25 Bar   20PSI   k24 turbo
governor mod, aneriod,...
fmic

without oil scuirters.

109Hp @ 5400RPM

drive it like ***ing hell...  rev it to the max always and everywhere...

still goes wel after 3months now.
only had to change head gasket. But that was already leaking when it was  an NA..

also a couple of exhaust manifold gaskets and studs, because I never warm  it up.  I rev to 6000rpm with ice cold engine.
Don't care. Engine didnt cost a thing, except the head gasket.

so it can take a beeting but is it a big difference? your hp makes it look like a good jump in power. well worth doing?

Yes you can make good power, but if you like your engine, you won't push it too hard. If you are looking a good increase in power, keep it under 15 psi, watch your EGT, be moderate with your fueling. 80-90 hp is doable - which a substancial increase in power from 52/54 hp which you have now..

any idea what your peak torque is? those are pretty good #'s...

im doing a full rebuild on my solid lifter n/a that will get a VNT17 setup + giles pump + spearco liquid intercooler... only engine mods are ceramic coated pistons and windage tray

wait i thought hitting 5500 rpm was a great way to warm it up?! jk but i abuse mine a bit. with more power i will be gentler. good info, im finding the needed parts now. thanks guys
