Has anyone run one of these on a 1.6 TD?

So is that manifold sort of like a dual pulse setup? Two cyl into one x 2, and then into turbo?  Does this offer better exhaust flow?  Does using this effect how the turbo will be placed, lines etc?

That is NOT a turbo manifold.  It is an OEM dual-outlet manifold for gassers which is considered a cost-effective upgrade if you have the toilet bowl manifold.  I would think it would be hard to adapt this to a turbo application.

just because it isn't doesn't mean it can'tbe

You'd be better getting a used one for like $40 or whatever they cost for mk2s, or even get one from a mk1 and make it work

Hey thanks for the info guys.  I had no idea this was a stock application on some cars.  I'm just planning my long term goals for the 1.6 TD I just got and I thought I'd get all the info I could.  Passenger Performance no longer makes downpipes and manifolds am I correct?  Or does passenger diesel do any of that?

They are one and the same. I believe Dave is still making the manifolds and he has stopped making 2.5 downpipes but has started making 3" downpipes. Look for his post in the Vendors section. If you want to talk to him you would probably be better off calling him.

yea it was me....
i got a 1 inch thick block of steel  and milled it out on a milling machine to mate up to a t3 flange from the 6 bolt setup
i just milled the studs off+tapped out 4 new holes
then i "ported " the manifold outlets to  "sorta" meet in the middle ,,the metal between the outlets was removed and tapered to a point+slightly lower than the manifold surface
then the block sorta goes from an oval shape on the manifold on the one side, and tapers to the t3 flange
sorry i got no pics of the manifold "in progress"
if ya flip it over, just use the gaskets flipped over and scribe where you need to remove the material,so you can clear the intake

please  excuse the pic size,,i screwed up on the d/l
