Title: Turbo trim question???

As I build the AAZ for my Caddy, I've been thinking about turbos. I have a Garret T3 for it, but am considering options for later on. I understand a Garret GT 20 in either 48 or 52 trim would be the new replacement for a T3? What I was wondering, is what is "Trim" and how does it affect the output of a given turbo (like a GT-20)

Yes, that did help. It looks like 48 trim will spool faster than 52 trim.
