Title: FS: A2 golf/jetta race suspension
Post by: Dr. Diesel on June 24, 2007, 05:51:06 pm
Up for sale is the race suspension out of my A2 jetta.

bilstein rallye group 1 shocks, the rear shocks have less than 500km
450lb front coils 620 lb rear coils on a threaded sleeve. VR6 upper strut bearings, and heavy duty rear bushings.
Fantastic setup for autocross racing, lapping days or aggressive street driving. Firm, but not too harsh for a daily driver.
I'll include a very beefy supplemental rear swaybar that was installed to compliment this setup.

On my diesel jetta with an open diff, this car was always within a second of the top three spots. A limited slip diff would have put it into the top three. That's with a 75 hp engine, people! This suspension WORKS.

here's a video of the car in action. I'll have pics of the suspension on the bench in a couple days.

it balances the handling. These cars are designed with built-in understeer.
