Title: Any 1.6 TD drivers in the Hudson Valley of NY?

I'm located in Watervliet NY (suburb of Albany..about 10 minutes from where Garry is from) for the time being, until I head back to Mexico after Thanksgiving. I was just down in New Paltz about 4 weeks ago to purchase a complete power steering setup from someone out of a Diesel pickup.

I've been finding some interesting bits lately....almost enough to finish the car.

Post by: ODwyerPW on June 30, 2007, 11:11:57 am: They made a little over 400 factory Rabbit Turbo Diesels in 83 & 84 for the North American markets. Though I'm unsure if they ever equipped Rabbit pickups with a Turbo Diesel.

However, I'm going to take a photo of a very interesting German look Rabbit Diesel Pickup...There are some indications with regards to accesory location, that it may have had a Turbo Diesel in it. It's a rare looking animal...it has the very early Jetta dash with the rounded vents. There's no engine/tranny in it, but I might be able to draw a few conclusions from VINs, accessories, etc...

Maybe I should go introduce myself...My truck went back into the shop today so I can (hopefully) have the Giles pump and IC setup installed in time for Sunday, which is the day I am heading down. Look forward to seeing you there...
