where can i get a set of oversized TD pistons, .5-1mm oversized? new

and how much do they typically run, on ebay they are 300-400$

i was going to take the engine to a shop locally that has donw alot of vw diesel engines, im hoping they can get me a good price on a set, if not i'll hit up mike_w... doing a full rebuild + aba oil aquirters

kolbenschmidt pistons are oem quality and include rings.

I took them to my machine shop and they tried to demonstrate that my engine needed balance by showing me how "out of balance" even the new pistons were on this $3000 scale that measures to 1/10th of a gram.

He started off by saying they should all be within 1 gram.
Right out of the box my new pistons were...
519.9 grams
520.4
519.7
520.6

Needless to say they didn't need balance.  Also the ring gaps on top and bottom were perfect.  The middle ring needed about 1-2 thousandths "adjustment" to be in spec according to bentley (note that bore size also affects this).

Point is.... buy quality Kolbenschmidt pistons cuz they're good.
