Title: 1.9TD fan problem
Post by: Pfhettinga on January 16, 2005, 09:49:54 am
Hey

I have a 1994 golf TD and the cooling fan in front of the radiator comes on as soon as I turn the key and continues to stay on.  I was wondering if any one else has had this problem or know how to fix it.

thanks in advanced

don't have A/C

but im looking at a wiring Diagram and wondering if it could be a bad thermal switch / relay or the collant FC control module

Hey Peter, try the thermo-switch first, its the brass sensor that is screwed into the radiator under the upper rad hose, this can cause the problem and is much cheaper than the control module.

Make sure you have the new one ready to screw in right as you get the old one out since coolant will come pouring out the hole.
