Anyone ever had a mass airflow sensor go in their TDI? The sluggish one I drove at the dealership the other day went into the shop, they said it was that sensor.
....The salesman also said it might be the waste gate...... but as I understand diesels dont have them....? hmmm

diesels sure do have a wastegate. newer tdi's don't though.. they have vanes.
wastegate just regulates the flow of exhaust gas over the turbine. without it, you could boost your turbo to death and have it grenade all over the place if you were modding the car enough.
