Title: GTD (SB) alternator upgrade?

I've replaced my alternator once already and it turns out the sender for the revcounter is faulty. (the new alternator was bought sight unseen off ebay) Is there any other VW that i can take the alternator off to provide a few more amps and will still run the revcounter off?

I have a working GTD alternator you can have, call it £10+postage if you want, only standard 70A I think though
