Glyco is a OEM supplier to VW for bearings, etc. I used them on my rebuild, but did still buy the thrust washers seperately as my Glyco set didn't come with them...

Just STAY AWAY from 2 pc. #3 main style sets... the individual bearings w/ thrusts seperately are much better wearing and friendly to your crank and block!!!! Read a few horror stories out there on the 2pc. style sets...

A local guy here was able to source them for me, I did however have to purchase the thrust bearings seperatley from the dealer, no biggie though

BTW thanks for the lead on the piston rings  :D

np!!!

i'll check around to see if i can get the kollben 3 piece and check out the dealer... this motor is going to be going together really soon! i can't wait not to have any blowby running 20 psi

my 1.6TD right now has quite a bit of blowby at 20 psi...  i'm running back at 10 psi with wastegate on and my oil consumption is very very very low...
