$20 a set, I have at least 4 sets
-
do they have an advantage over the soft ones?
-
The ones I am selling only are hard. The are the ones from the pump to the injectors, sometimes called spyder lines
-
Are they off the 1.6 or 1.9?
-
1.6
-
turbo lines?
-
turbo lines?
NA and TD are the same if they are both 1.6
-
No they're not!
-
oh really?
well in that case I better double check. What's the difference?
-
i would think that n/a hydro injector lines would be the same as turbo.. why produce two seperate types of injector lines... vw isn't that dumb.
-
Yeah I've never noticed a difference.... unless NA lines can't be used on a TD because of the bends for the LDA???
-
Thats two for the not different camp.
One for the different camp.
Soooo.. please tell us how they are different so we will know.
-
if all else fails I'll throw some NA lines on my TD and some TD lines on my NA later this week 8)
-
The TD lines have a bend to clear the LDA so the NA lines won't fit the TD but I think the TD lines should fit an NA.
-
only 2 lines are TD specific..
but if you do not knwo the heritage, maybe compare yours to some images of TDs on the forum..
the more informed and detailed the ad the better off the seller and purchaser.
-
I'll just compare them to my lines, thanks for clarifying that 8)

i know the answer to this question- the two lines that go behind the turbo injector pump are different from n/a diesel ! the extra bends allow clearance when adjusting the TD pump but say if a line fails you can use a n/a diesel line it will work to get you by but you wont be able to adjust the pump for timing purposes ! i'm using a n/a diesel line on my turbo diesel motor now becase one of my lines cracked on the #1 cylinder! also i'm not sure but i believe that the TD lines have a bigger ID than the n/a diesel lines for the more fuel delivery but i could be mistaken !! i've never measured the difference but would sure would like to know if anyone has the equipment or knowledge about that? thanks Duane
-
All 3 sets are TD
-
i read what the difference is between them! the TD lines have a bigger I.D and are longer then the n/a diesel lines ! because of the higher fuel pressure /bar at the TD injector! you can put a n/a line on a td to get you by till you find the correct one . i know it works because i have the one on my td and it's behind the LDA you cant adjust the pump timing with it on though! if any body wants i can look it up again and post the proper measurements if anyone wants ? thanks Duane
-
I would be interested in buying your 3 sets of turbo inj. lines as long as they are tru td lines and not mixed with n/a lines shoot me a pm and we will work out the details thanks Duane
-
Turns out the set on my car decided to explode, thankfully I made it home from my road trip, although the mileage wasn't that good.
I think I already have the sets sold, well at least tentivily. I"ll get more though
-
well i can definatly use one set now ! i'd like to get the n/a lines off of my truck and get back the way it should be!i've noticed lately it don't sound right with them on ! well let me know what you come up with i would appreciate it thanks Duane

Here are the long awaited pictures. I used the worse looking set (not pictured) on my own car and it's working great.
BTW my old broken set is for sale for $15. It may be fine because after installing the "new" set I realized that the 12mm timing hole bolt had backed out. There is a mark on the #4 line though, it will definitly fail soon if it hasn't already but the other 3 look fine.

so Tyler is that 2 sets and your broken one for sale? i'll take all that you have to offer ! do you have a paypal account? got an idea of shipping to 53221 ?
thanks Duane
-
I think all the ones pictured are sold, except for my broken set which is not pictured (yet).
I'll have more lines shortly though, within 2 weeks hopefully
-
well keep me posted if someone backs out or you get more i'll even buy your broken set from you !! thanks Duane
-
Will do. You're next in line. How many sets do you need?
-
at least 2 sets and i will take your broken set too i think i can make a good set out of that the one yours is broke is the only one i got good left on mine that is good out of the TD set that came on my engine . do you think or know if 1.9 TD injector lines will fit on a 1.6TD engine? i don't have a set to expierament with? thanks tyler let me know what you find out or come up with ? and how do you want to make the transaction? i'm also looking for a mk2 diesel tach for my pickup do you have any leads on one? thanks Duane
-
1.9 lines won't work on a 1.6, they are too high due to the taller injectors on a 1.9.
paypal, money order, check.. it's all good for payment
I have a couple clusters with tachs, all mk2 though... well I have 1 from a mk1 Jetta diesel but I don't know if it works. I think it is just a gasser tach thrown into the diesel cluster
-
how much are you asking for a mk2 tach ? i have a cluster i can put it in here or if maybe you have a cluster that the speedo side don't work
and i have 4or 5 mk1 gas clusters with tach but in order to make a gasser tach you half to do some soldering in of other resistors and callibrate the tach after the modification works been done! too much of a pain for me to do and not much of an electrition either ! so i just want to find one from an early diesel mk2 golf or jetta that used the W terminal . makes it so much simpler for me! so how ever you want to sell it for me as long as i end up with a correct mk2 diesel tach? i think they even say diesel on the face? well let me know and also about the td injector lines when you got somemore to sell
thanks Duane

i know the answer to this question- the two lines that go behind the turbo injector pump are different from n/a diesel ! the extra bends allow clearance when adjusting the TD pump but say if a line fails you can use a n/a diesel line it will work to get you by but you wont be able to adjust the pump for timing purposes !
If you can't time the engine with the NA lines you can move the pulley one tooth off on the timing belt to make it clear the line.
