Title: Are any VNT turbos direct bolt-on 1.6TD?
Post by: rallydiesel on May 14, 2007, 02:37:58 pm
Any VNT turbos out there that are direct bolt on to the 1.6 TD? If not, what kind of manifold mods must be done? I am aware of the problems with the VNT actuator adaptation but I would be willing to go fairly high boost (hopefully less than 20 PSI   ) and just switch the wastegate actuator with the VNT actuator along with some messing around.

So are there any fairly simple VNT options. I am thinking about a VNT 15 but just need to know if there would be any fabricating involved

the guy i know that did it all you really have to fab is the down pipe.  and i guess some kind of an intake.  the turbo/manifold itself bolts right on.

So only the euro VNT turbos are separate from the intake manifold?

The intake manifold is part of the turbo? I thought it was just the exhaust manifold...
