Title: What kind of mileage are you getting with your swapped 1.6?
Post by: burn_your_money on April 21, 2007, 09:07:05 pm
For those of you who have put a 1.6TD into a truck what kind of mileage are you getting? I'm hoping someone has put one into a 4X4 that they use for daily driving. Thanks
Title: mileage.

Not quite the same animal, but I got 29 hwy, 19 trail with my 1.9 in a 3500 lb
truck, 32" tires. So I would think a 1.6 should be better.

thank you for your responce. When you are on the road are you flogging it or casual driving? What RPM are you at on the highway? Is your 1.9 turbo?

Turbo, flogging it going up the passes, otherwise doing about 70 mph on the flats. Not sure about the rpms, but I would guess 3200-3500. I had no IC, and also got very hot on the passes, so could only step on it so much.
