took a lot of patience on my part to get it translated... not fun!  So I'd just say live with the website for now  :)   and I'll probably find a way to PDF it or even just edit the original PDF file.

Very cool, thanks!
Title: Saving this
Post by: Noodlewad on December 10, 2004, 11:37:15 am
An easy way to archive it on your own PC is to open it up in IE and do:
Save As
Change the Save as type to = Web Page Archive, single file (.mht)

This will give you a single file that is the entire document for easy access in the future.

I took some time this afternoon and cleaned it up a bit and put in as a PDF.

Here it is....

VAG Manual (https://home.comcast.net/~smhitchings/VAG_Manual.pdf)
Please be gentle on my web server. If you want to view the file, please "Right Click" and "Save File As" on your computer as not to kill my server every time you open the file.

Be warned, as a PDF, it is still 4.4 MB. I will work on getting it smaller but now, that's the deal folks.

Also, if you want to make text changes, please e-mail me at mhitchings@yahoo with the changes you want to make (try to ref. the page of change so it's easier on me) and I will make the changes when I have time.

This URL might be a start in the right direction:
https://home.comcast.net/~smhitchings/myfilelocker/VAG_Manual.pdf

Looks like you've got to enable public viewing permissions on your "myfilelocker" directory though.

Ok, my link is fixed....you can download it by saving it from the "VAG Manual" link in my post above.

np guys :)

one thing I don't get is how a turbo adds increased fuel economy(in a gasser it actually decreases fuel economy drastically since the car is always high revving.. or at least mine would be hehe).  I would imagine that it would just create more power and take more fuel to achieve that power (boost enrichment) but hey! germans must have figured it all out :)

hey,

I think they mean you get better economy compaired to a bigger naturally aspirated engine of the same power. like if you tune down a turbo diesel to N/A diesel specs it should be better econonmy because the increased air density should make the diesel burn more efficiently.

and thanks for the translation
