I need a crank pulley for my 1986 1.6 na diesel jetta. A local VW wrecker says there is two different ones that year, and the only part left of mine is the mounting flange, so i have no part # If someone has one they can spare, it would be very much appreciated.
I also would like to grt my hands on a known good injector pump for the same car. You can PM me or email [email protected] Im located on Vancouver Island B.C.
Thanks

Are you referring to the crank gear
(sometimes calles a toothed pulley)
or the alternator/water pump pulley?
If you need the crank gear, you can
get one, new, from Python Parts
part #5010-63374 for $18.04 (Cdn).
If your referring to the alternator pulley,
contact burn_your_money on this forum
he may have one.
He seems to have a lot of things (and,
occasionally, stuff) for Mk2 Diesels.

the only difference in 86 was half way through they switched to a hydraulic lifter engine.
did they really change pulley's when changing to hydro???

Sorry, im looking for the crank pulley that the alt. belt rides on, NOT the crank gear for the timing belt. I doubt the pulleys would be different, but i dont know for sure. All i know is that the local "experts" have dragged this on long enough(2 weeks), and i need to get this car going.

There are two different types, with AC or without. The AC crank pulleys have a rubber ring in them and much bigger/heavier, the non ac pulleys are just simple steel. You need the right one in order for the vbelts to line up right. I should have both, find out which one you need.

Mine has no A/C or PS. Just a plain single groove pulley.
