Title: What Turbo on a stock '83 Quantum TD?

I just got this car about a week ago and it is my first turbo. I wonder which turbo unit it is. Also, how is the boost regulated, with the waste gate or whatever it is called?   Thanks,    Harry

Probably it is a Garret T3, it has integral wastegate. Boost can be adjusted by bleeding the wastegate hose.

Actually I have only seen Passats and Audis of that era, not Quantums. Those what I have seen, had Garret, but it could be either one.
