I just found this site and wanted to say hello to everyone.  After looking around a bit I didn't see a lot about the pd-tdi's.  Is this site for older tdi's only? Or are the pd's still too new in NA?

Anyone from Pa on here?

pd (pumpe dusse) is the new tdi engine.  Still 1.9 liters, but with a different fuel pump(s) and injection set-up.  The rotary pump is gone and has been replaced by "unit injectors" or basically there's a little fuel pump at each injector.  Stock power is up to 100hp and 177lbft, it meets tier II emissions requirements, it's a little quieter, it's a little smoother, but fuel mileage is down 2-4mpg.

The most direct source of info on PD's I know of is @ www.tdiclub.com , particularly this forum:

Yeah, I've been a member of tdiclub for about a year or so.  Some good info there.
