Complete engine less oil filter flange, head, alternator, cluster, engine wiring and injectors.
1.6l engine
basically 300-400k kms, 300PSI in cylinder #1 and #4, didn't bother to check the others. The car ran ok considering the compression.
4S tranny, only tested in R and 1 - $100
non leaking pump (for now anyways) - $SOLD
turbo - made a whining noise at idle, for parts only - $40
Manifolds - $pending
Turbo lines - $pending
Pan - $pending
Block - $75 Haven't pulled the head so I don't know what overbore if any it's at. Will separate
Intake hoses - everything except the snorkel $40
Massive starter - $10 - wasn't cranking the fastest, very corroded terminals on battery plus I don't know how good the battery was
Interior bits $very cheap
PS setup - $100 will separate
AC lines/condenser/rad $10 a piece, lines are $5 or free with other AC purchase
Alt bracket - AC or NON $30

Delivery is available to the GTA+kitchener on March 24/25
Everything sold as-is

Dang Tyler, I wish I could find cars like you do.
I think I found a turbo block today, there is a head also. Is there a way to tell a differance between the NA and turbo heads?
Getting closer to needing turbo stuff.

what year??? i believe that all hydraulic heads are turbo. At least the part #'s match up on ETKA... maybe the earliest hydraulics are not...

lol most people do, I have 7 TDs right now
Move to Canada, it's all I can recommend.
I've heard the 'all hydros are turbo" bit as well, I'd put TD valves in it though because I'd imagine they'd be different
-
The only problem I have is the head I have is a hydro and the turbo block I found is not.
I belive I read somewhere you can use a solid lifter head on a hydro block by blocking the oil port, but obviously using a hydro head on a non hydro block just wont work. correct?

I'll take it if it's a K24 with a working wastegate and a good condition compressor wheel.

That combination won't work unfortunately.

That's exactly what I was getting at Tyler. Non hydro head on a hydro block is fine but the otherway isnt feasable.

Is it a 1.9TD? I'm looking for a cheap cam that isn't too worn. I'd like experiment with one in my TDI at some point since I don't think a custom one is in the books after the new pump/lifters/starter I just bled for.
-
It is a 1.6. I'll hopefully be getting to my 1.9 later this month
-
hit me offline for details on the lot.

do the 1.9 manifolds fit the 1.6 heads?
dan
-
Yes and no. They bolt up but the intake manifold on the 1.9s are D shaped and the 1.6s are 0 shaped. I've heard the 1.9 intake is an upgrade for the 1.6 but who knows. The exhaust manifolds are the same
-
I've never heard any success stories for hydro heads on solid blocks
-
I thought that there would be pressure issues for the lifters
-
That's a good point.
There would be no oil supply to the hydraulic lifters.
Would you have to change to solid lifters and the valves
with the longer valve stems?
Just curious.
-
If you plug the extra oil return plugged with an aluminum plug and then get the head surfaced it will work fine with a solid lifter headgasket. Upgrade the oil pump to 36mm gears.
The solid lifter head on the hydro block is harder to manage IMO.

What am I, the freakin' invisible man???
The hydro head on the solid lifter block will work fine as I outlined above.
Andrew
WOW!!!!
Sorry dude.
The hydro head will really work on the solid lifer block just by pluging the return in the block and using the solid lifet gasket??
Ok, I'll take a look at it tomorrow. I have a hydro head and a solid block sitting here.

Back to "91 TD Part Out"
This poor guy is trying to sell his parts.
Car parts, that is.
-
Side conversations don't bother me, I learnt something from it all so that's a plus. Everyone knows I'm still selling parts. Thanks for looking out though :)

hey, just wondering if you have the turbo inlet tube that goes between the turbo and air filter, i need one for my buds 1.9TDi, he blew the turbo (snapped the shaft) so we put a T3 in it. let me know...

I can't even count how many of those things I have. $20 shipped. I'll IM you as well
They are all for 1.6s though so I don't know if they will work
-
to the top. I cleaned up my garage 2 days ago, I have like 5 spare air boxes and a ridiculous amount of mk2 timing belt covers (upper, lower, backing)
