The New Garrett one is a T3

The TDi-M pump came from Europe. There is no LDA on it , but it does not seem to affect its performance. The reason for the sale is that my car (TDi-M swap) is forsale, and this was a secondary pump I bought to see if there was a differance between mine, and the one in the auction.

My TDi-M car is up forsale (I may part it out), so all my spare parts must go.
If anyone is interested in my car its forsale over on the vortex under the same user name that I use here.
I need a newer car for my job to keep up apperances. I cant justify 2 cars since I work to much to enjoy the fun one, so it must sadly go.

to keep up appearances? damn man!!!  newer cars are so expensive... and insurance can hurt bad...  I'm going to be installing a nice PD engine into a newly acquired jetta that is virtually rust free

imagine that... a car that not only blows the pants off any car my co-workers have, AND beats their mileage nearly two fold (some of them anyways...)

what car will you be buying???

Well my boss, and a couple of vauled customers have made comments about the age of my car. All they see is a 14 yr old car. Since my job sometimes entails driving to, or our customers around it has been sudjusted that I find a new more sutiable car, that would refelct the company better for my line of work. As for the "new" car hopefully a 2 Door 5 speed MK4 TDi, if not that a PD-TDi. If I cant find one that suits my needs, or a great deal on a 1.8T comes up I may just take it. Its been awhile since Ive owned a gaser.

damn thats bull... you working for an escort service??? hehe jk!  I can sort of see the issue of safety, as in air bags, impact safety etc... but if its just the 'age' of the car, then they are a$$wipes.  I can't wait to get my PD installed into my car... first order of business is to destroy everyone's cars who attempt to take me.

I get that a lot.. "why not buy a new car???" what so I can be like the rest of you and pay $400/month insurance??? um... thanks but no thanks...!  plus I wouldn't like parking too close to other cars and worrying about my clearcoat getting nicked.  With my current car you can slam your door right into mine, and as long as the door doesn't fall off and i can open it, i'm fine with it... i'll even join in on the fun!!!

some people these days... newer isn't always necessary better...  however newer technology is! Pump Düse here I come!

sorry for the thread jack !

Not a Problem on the thread Jacking I'm a sucker for good convorsation

I wish that I worked for an escort service, imagine the possibilities. Well I hope to be staying TDi, I would like a PD. I haven't had much time around and under a PD yet.

On another note, my supplier was doing some inventory clearing out and I ended up with another batch of NOS items mostly gasser parts, but they will be up on My Website (http://www.jbmorrison.com) by Monday. They will probably end up on E-Bay by the End of next week.

that 6 speed is going to be mad cool!  some of these big block v8's dont seem to understand the acceleration possibilities of a greater span of gears, rather than a 3 or 4 speed automatic.

i can't find any information to support it, but i've heard that the 6th gear will do 80mph @ 2000 rpm (with the right tires)

thats pretty... um... craaaazy!! so @ 4000 rpm i can do 160mph??? 200mph @ 5000rpm???  hmmm i will definitely need some restraint!

seems like you added some more time to the auction... what kind of cash are you looking to get for the pump??? how much did you pay for it?

Ebay did have a glitch they removed 7 of my auctions, then told me I had to relist them! All because of an error on there part!

Well I paid $987.64 with shipping and duties for the pump, I don't expect to get that back. What it goes for is what it goes for.

I created a new posting for my NOS stuff.

Only $91; I should have put a higher one, but it had gone so long sitting at $76 that I figured nobody else was paying attention. Silly me.

Actually the K03 went for $204US   and some change. All the bidding happened in the last seconds of the auction. Sorry that you did not win it :(  . My other auctions are still running including the new turbo kit, the mech injection pump, injectors for both the 1.6, and TDi, and a couple of other used turbo's.
Good Luck to All that Bid

Ah, I must have just read the outbid notice. Whoops!

I guess that whole phenomenon is why I'm so, ehh, I guess you could say disgusted with E-bay. I have lost so many things to last-minute sudden bidders, I'm just really tired of the whole thing. So anymore I just go for "Buy it now" type auctions. I don't e-bay to e-bay, I e-bay to buy things I would like, and it's not that often. And to devote the time over the course of a six day auction to keep track and manage things to come out on top, only to lose out in the last minute while I'm unfortunately off at work to someone who didn't even put a bid on it earlier to signify some interest really pisses me off.

I didn't mean any venom at all in my post.  I don't feel any ill will toward anyone in this thread.  I posted just for the benefit of sharing the info.  Pardon me if it was presented poorly.

Andrew

I meant my venom, swallowing it. I suppose my experiences just haven't been the best, and I need to move on with life regarding the topic, but it's a spot of soreness that continually comes up each time I go to make one of those few purchases that I'd like to. Lacking the time to haunt E-bay and constantly keep track of such auctions, I try to put in a bid early so I at least get the notices of outbids, and since how much I can put in toward something fluctuates based on projects and how business goes at work I tend to "lowball."

Other people bidding before that last possible minute allow me to have a chance to reevaluate what I'm willing to divert to this particular item, based on my relative need for it and the level of interest in it. I don't want to bid high at first on two things, end up winning at my max bid for both of them and be stretched a tad on the budget for something else because of a problem or whatnot when I could have just incrementally increased the bid based on its relevance and my chance of getting it low. If its obviously shooting up hot and fast, then I know I'll either have to put some more money in it or I'll need to just drop out of the running and let it slide, where if it's taking a nice, very sedate upward climb in small increments I can maybe divert some of the "contingency" money to some other small need and still have a chance at winning it.

Fly-ball, out of nowhere bids really blow an immense amount of careful planning and management out of the water, and when you've put six days into watching something that you'd like to see, it hasn't moved in five days, and then you lose by a bleeding dollar (After jumping up five hundred to hit your max bid in the last few seconds of the auction) while you're in the middle of a sixteen hour double shift at work, well... you'd be pissed too.

But I appreciate your concern over the presentation of your view.

The reason I am personally a sniper is because of wishy-washy individuals who cannot decide how much they would be willing to pay for an item.  If I were to bid early, then the wishy-washy individual might reconsider what they value the item at and bid more driving the final price up.  If they want it less than I do they will still lose, I will just end up paying more.

As you've now told me, "paying more" for it shouldn't matter. You can't possibly know how much they already have in for it before you make your bid, and if you bid "the maximum you're willing to pay" then it would be the same in both instances. But in the one instance you give someone who actually was willing to go out on a limb first a chance to prove that they are willing to blow more money on it than you, and in the other you're just waiting until nobody can challenge your attempted claim to whatever it is up for auction.

If you're "waiting until the last minute" to see how much you want to put on an item, you're no different than I am, except that you wait until nobody can shove you off the "high bidder" pedestal, if you even in fact get it. Ever sniped multiple times on the same item, because your initial attempt didn't make it to that point? I've been sniped like that before; seems there are "wishy-washy" snipe-bidders too.

And I guess so much for trying not to be offensive; "wishy-washy" seems to be a pretty deliberate needling term, especially when someone on the other side just described a method remarkably similar to what you're defining it as.

The method I use only lends itself to "losing, frustration and regret" precisely because of people with methods like your own and no other reason. I actually quite enjoy a good rising bid war, with things running down to the last second, but what I -don't- like is someone barrelling in at the last second to put everything that came before out for nothing.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. :?

I just figure out what's the MOST I'd pay for

an Item, enter that as my bid.

If the bidding doesn't reach my maximum, I win! :D

If it exceeds my maximum, I lose.   :(

C'est la vie, say the old folks, it goes to show

  you never can tell.

  It's all fun.

I dunno.

Ebay is good for getting top dollar, but I find it time consuming and a high "flake" ratio with bad bidders.

I find it way easier to sell stuff off here for a fair price. Parts are sold FAST, and you get to help out other forum members. If I have stuff left over I throw it on ebay.

You're method of bidding initially and small does not do anyone any favors.

hey is that a grammatical error that I just spotted???

for those of you who can't see it... ---> You're = you are ---. you are method of bidding initially and small does not do anyone any favors.  hmm doesn't sound quite right to me!

had to catch something sooner or later sheesh... libbybapa is rarely wrong!!!  and you know it!!! (but please lay off my spelling and grammar since i'm so half assed in my writings here   )

nevertheless, libbybapa does make quite good sense.  if i could sum up what he just said:

sellers could have made more money off of you if you would have just put the FULL amount you were willing to pay for the item.  and you would have possibly won the item you were after...

btw i love your writeups libbybapa... don't stop the music!!
